A sky-blue interior adds a Mediterranean vibe to this trendy eatery, but don’t go expecting a meridional culinary cast. That said, the extensive score does have something for everyone. The chef is equally at ease with a crudo of langoustine dressed in olive oil and lemon zest as with tournedos Rossini, beef bourguignon or sole meunière. In addition to a knack for coaxing out the best of each ingredient, he takes the time to lovingly simmer casserole dishes, confidently allowing the big-boned flavours to shout their name rather than swamping them in fancy frills.
