The sleepy village of Lacuisine makes the perfect base camp to explore the Ardennes. Don’t miss Ronny and Christel’s stylish establishment which mixes a friendly vibe with modern comforts. The chef cooks hearty portions of regional produce, most of which from scratch. He also gets a kick out of dusting off traditional culinary archives, depicted by maatjes herrings jazzed up with caviar and a vibrant yoghurt seasoning, and freely avows a soft spot for sweet-savoury combinations, including in the desserts, illustrated by an asparagus-laced sabayon. The enticing range of set menus means that there is something for everyone. Even better, stay overnight in one of the lovely guestrooms.
