A handsome building on the corner of a wide boulevard, Ark is a bright, buzzing spot with a contemporary interior decked out in natural materials. This natural feel extends to the menus too, thanks to the 100% vegan, plant-based cooking. Dishes demonstrate great variety, but most are rooted in Japanese cuisine; you’ll find the likes of seaweed jelly with cucumber and umeboshi or brioche with mushroom parfait and sherry – using mushrooms cultivated on their urban farm. Desserts are a highlight, such as matcha tea and salted cocoa nib crumble with hemp cream, blood orange pulp and tarragon sorbet.
