Providing a wonderful country house experience, this 14th-century pele tower is the perfect place to relax by the fire in the cosy sitting room while you enthuse over the hugely impressive wine selection from the Lowther Estate cellars. After this, head through to the country-kitchen-style restaurant with its unique tiled floor and garden views. Accomplished dishes are driven by produce from the Estate, with the gardener playing a key role in the crafting of the menu. The exemplary sauces are a highlight, by turns light or intense depending on the central ingredient.
